How To Use

In the following section you will be walked through ‘how to use’ MiKro-Z in brief: focusing on the key stages of using the app.
The aim here is to provide an overview refresher and assumes the app is already installed; that the various set-up permissions have been given; and you have already started using MiKro-Z.

Home Screen
1. Immediately on arriving at an RDC launch MiKro-Z and touch the phone screen anywhere in the centre covered by the app logo. You will then be moved to the ON SITE screen.
ON SITE
1. Select > the pulsing ON SITE button.
2. ON SITE timer starts.
3. Confirm > ‘EARLY’, ‘ON-TIME’ or ‘LATE’: add time details if relevant.
4. Select > right arrow
5. Add the Google map name of the RDC where you are ON SITE: select to confirm from the options given.
6. Confirm> ‘COLLECTION’ or ‘DELIVERY’
7. Confirm Load type'; ‘AMBIENT’, ‘CHILLED’, ‘FROZEN’, or ‘NOT KNOWN’.
8. Select > right arrow.
NOTE: If you don’t see your RDC in the companies listed within a 1 km radius of your location, select the X button at the top right of the screen to go back one screen as this will refresh the GPS map locator.
If you still don’t see your RDC or the company you are delivering to or collecting from, please select from one near by so you can record the data (add a note later to remind yourself), then get in touch with us and we will contact the organisation to let them know they are not appearing on map data, so this can be corrected for your future visits.
ON BAY
1. As soon as your truck has moved on to a BAY, Select > the pulsing ON BAY button.
2. ON BAY timers starts.
3. At this point you might leave the vehicle to drop your keys at the office, or hand in paperwork, before returning to your truck.
3. If you now want to use MiKro-Z to monitor the BAY lights until your vehicle is ready, do the following;
Lock your vehicle’s doors to avoid interuption.
Secure your phone firmly and upright in a standard window mount holder and angle it towards your driver side mirror.
4. Select > the BAY WATCH button.
BAY WATCH
1. Adjust the phone in its holder so you can see the BAY lights in your truck’s side mirror and visible in the MiKro-Z Bay Watch view.
2. Position the active BAY light in the centre of the corresponding Red or Green cursor box.
Note: If the Green light is on, centre it in the Green box and vice versa if the light is Red
Use the zoom function to make the light fill the box, trying not to go outside its border.
3. Select > the Bay Watch button.
4. If you have correctly positioned the active Bay light in the cursor box, a Blue border will appear around your MiKro-Z Bay Watch view.
5. Select CONFIRM > To proceed with this Bay Watch session.
Note: Do Not remove your phone from the window mount holder once Bay Watch is active as this may disrupt the process and could prevent accurate activity data from being recorded.
WAITING
1. Once WAITING is visible it confirms the MiKro-Z Bay Watch process is active (and started on the Green light)
LOADING & UNLOADING
1. When the Bay light changes to Red the LOADING screen appears in the MiKro-Z interface, (if COLLECTION was selected earlier). This indicates a shift in the BAY’s operational status from its previous WAITING state.
2. The UNLOADING screen will be visible at this stage if DELIVERY was selected earlier.
READY
1. An alarm alert sounds in MiKro-Z when the READY screen becomes visible, indicating the Bay lights have changed state from Red back to Green and confirming the vehicle is Ready and has been Loaded or Unloaded.
2. Selecting the alarm button will STOP the alert sound and cause the ON BAY screen to appear.
OFF BAY
1. The OFF BAY screen indicates the MiKro-Z Bay Watch process has stopped monitoring the BAY lights.
2. Time to get your paperwork sorted out and collect your vehicle keys if they have been handed in.
3. When you’re back in the truck and ready to leave the Bay…
Select > the pulsing OFF BAY button.
This action will STOP the ON BAY timer, but the data will stay visible in MiKro-Z until you leave the site.
OFF SITE
1. The OFF SITE screen will now be visible. When ready to leave the RDC..
Select > the pulsing OFF SITE button.
2. This will prompt a notification to advise you that this action will STOP the ON SITE timer.
Activity Tool
1. After confirming going OFF SITE you will see a notification asking if you want to view the Activity Data from your most recent RDC visit. If you select Yes, My ON SITE Record will open.
2. If you select No, - the MiKro-Z SAFE JOURNEY! flash screen will appear before returning the app to the Home screen.
3. In My ON SITE Record each RDC activity entry is listed in the order in which it was visited.
Data can be expanded by selecting the arrow to reveal more details.

Notes on RDC visits
4. A filter allows you to search MiKro-Z data in a number of ways; by RDC name and location, for example if you want to view entries for ‘Acme Frozen, Anytownshire’, or just all your UK (or other country) records.
5. If you cross national borders, RDC activity data can be displayed by the countries where they are located.
6. Searches by timeframe; date, months and years is also possible.
7. The share feature allow you to show your latest MiKro-Z data to other truckers in the industry using social media or other communication tools. This is particularly useful if contributing to forums that track and comment on Waiting times at RDCs.

1. At the top left of most screens in MiKro-Z you will see a 3 bar ‘Menu’ icon. Here you can find information about the app and our company, including; Our Story So Far.
